TOM GOTTSLEBEN

Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, educated at the San Francisco Art Institute, Tom Gottsleben has lived in the Hudson River Valley since 1982.

His sculpture – in bluestone, crystal glass, and stainless steel – is informed by both science and mysticism.  It creates for the viewer an experience of the harmony and beauty inherent in nature’s patterns and in the union of what appear to be opposites – linear and curved, order and chaos, form and void.  Gottsleben’s work inspires us to look more closely, to be more engaged, and to be available for the wonder that presents itself at every turn.

Gottsleben’s work is in numerous private collections around the United States.
